Edit Menu

The Edit Menu of the Control Panel has the following functions. All the Time Control functions require a Game Reset.

• Player Persona 
• Set White Persona  - Pick the persona to apply to the White player.
• Reset White to Default  - Resets the White player to 'no' persona.
• Set Black Persona  - Pick the persona to apply to the Black player.
• Reset Black to Default  - Resets the Black player to 'no' persona.
• Manage Personas  - Add, delete and edit personas.



• Time Controls 
• Period Length (both playes)  - Sets the full period length for both players.
• White Period Length  - Sets the full period length for the White player only. Useful when one player has a lower skill rating and should be given more time.
• Black Period Length  - Sets the full period length for the Black player only.
• Set Delay Time  - Sets the amount of Delay time for both players.
• Use Delay  - Toggles the use of the Delay time on or off.
• Edit Periods  - The Period Editor sets the time control attributes for each period of the game.
• Edit Time Control  - The Time Control Editor provides a dialog to set global attributes of the time control.
• Info Summary  - Provides a full description of the time control.



• Event 
• Event Name  - Name of the match or tournement.
• Event Location  - City and/or venue.



• Game Type Attributes 
• Penalty and Bonus Points  - Allows for editing Penalty and Bonus values which appear on the Score Adjust toolstrip. Two default values are set for Penalty (-1) and Bonus (1). Some games have predefined Penalty and/or Bonus values. Add more to customize your game play.

• Piece Names and Score Points  - Allows for editing the number of points applied for standard game pieces. They are set by default to values specified in the official game rules.

• General Settings  - Pops up the GameType General Settings Editor.

• Name   - Name of the game type.
• Player moves first   - You can set which player moves first at the start of the game. Official rules may vary based on country.
• Time penalty points   - This is the penalty applied for expiration of a time interval during a peroid. (when applicable).
