These are the hardware and software prerequisite levels needed to run this program.

Operating Systems

Windows logo This product runs on:
Windows 11/10/8/7
64bit, 32bit, and "N" editions
(See a few exceptions.)

Hardware

  • Microsoft Windows-based computer - There are no special hardware requirements for this program. It has been tested on Laptop and Desktop computers.
  • System Architecture - This product runs in 64bit mode on x64 systems and 32bit mode on x86(32bit) systems. The same installer covers both system types.
  • Graphics card or onboard graphics - A good quality graphics card is recommended (although not required) for best quality and performance sound.

Software

The following are the required software levels to run the program. The Microsoft .Net Framework are NOT installed automatically by Windows Update and may not have been pre-installed by your computer manufacturer. So you may need to download and install them yourself.

  • Windows LogoOperating System - Windows® 11/10/8/7 - All versions of Windows 11/10/8/7 - x64 (64bit), x86(32bit) and "N" editions for all versions. Windows 7 requires service pack 1 (SP1)(See a few exceptions.)
  • Windows LogoFor Windows Vista/XP versions - Contact support for information.
  • Microsoft .Net Framework 4.8 - Should come pre-installed on Win10 computers. On Windows 8 or earlier, you may need to install .Net 4.8 separately (Free download). Do not uninstall previous versions of .Net unless you have a reason to do so. They are designed to reside side by side and you may disable another program by uninstalling a previous version of .Net.
  • Codec - The standard Windows Media Foundation codecs are quite deficient in their support of extended displays and non-Microsoft video formats (including popular ones like MP4, MOV, FLV, etc). This can cause videos to freeze up when played on a secondary display (showing a blank screen or freeze on frame 1). You will almost certianly need to install a better codec package. We highly recommend the KLite Codec Package (Full or Mega variant. It's free!). If you have a professional grade codec package installed, you may be able to skip this pre-req.
  • WMP LegacyMicrosoft Windows Media Player (WMP) (version 11, 12 or later) - WMP is a free Windows feature that must be turned-on (enabled). On Windows 11, WMP Legacy is NOT enabled by default. I can be enabled in just a few clicks.
